Perhaps childhood is essential because it has no past. Childhood is the past.
We have to grow up to have past.
We are all immortal as children, close to the state that we consider holy.
We are holy innocents.

Elképzelhető, hogy a gyerekkor azért nagyon fontos, mert nincs múltja. A gyermekkor maga a múlt.
Fel kell nőnünk, hogy múltunk lehessen.
Gyermekként halhatatlanok vagyunk, és közel ahhoz, amit szentnek gondolunk.
